Starting as a campus journalist in a public elementary school at age 10, Deejay Arro has become one of Bohol’s most promising writers. His writing skills shined over the years and it was his sheer talent and immense potential that brought him to the pages of the feature section of Bohol’s leading newspaper where he wrote for more than a year. Writing for the local paper, as well as his blog, DEEJAY WRITES, gave him the opportunity to slowly carve a name of his own.
Deejay loves exploring the province either through his outdoor adventures or casual day trips and takes every chance he gets to visit Bohol’s famous destinations as well as explore the province’s hidden wonders. He also considers himself a budding artist, writing short stories and poetry or painting female portraits when he has both the time and creative energy.
He is an ardent advocate of Boholano tourism and DEEJAY WRITES has become his avenue of bringing Bohol to the rest of the world, showing the beauty and greatness of this doting island province in the heart of the Philippines where its innate laidback atmosphere, predominating traditions and rich cultural treasures mingle with modernization. He tries to capture local sights, sounds, flare, and flavor of Bohol in every story and every photo. His efforts prove to be fruitful as his blog consistently rake positive response from his readers.
Deejay recently passed the Licensure Examination for Teacher and hopes to find himself in the classroom in the future.
